She is, to our knowledge, the first to get a PHD in Thorium research from Oslo University. However, with the new Norwegian governments initiative to set up a Thorium Center, she is likely not to be the last.
Sunniva ends with a couple of questions: “Is it right that a natural disaster should put an end to nuclear power, new research, new fuels like thorium, new reactors that are safer more economical more proliferation resistant and use the fuel in a much better way?
