| Specialized in the political and technical approaches to construct a sustainable society along with expertise in nuclear power and supply-chain management of manufacturing, Takashi Kamei calls for a comprehensive strategy for the revitalization of Japan's low-carbon society and future industry centering on Thorium Energy. Takashi says, "... I believe that thoriumutilization will supply energy without emitting carbon-dioxide and will contribute to widely expand the use of low-carbon transportation such as electric vehicles. I also believe that thorium energy will be an essential tool for developed countries to help the growth of developing countries." As a representative of IThEO, Takashi says, "I will share my ideas on thorium utilization with people in the world and I will gather persons and companies, who has abilities to realize Thorium Energy." Takashi Kamei received his PhD in Nulear Engineering from Kyoto University and worked as a lecturer in Tenri University and as an assistant professor in Kyoto University. He worked as chief system engineer in ROHM semiconductor Co. Ltd. At the International Institute for Advanced Studies, Kyoto Japan, he specialised in the construction of a sustainable society. Dr. Kamei is conducting his research at Ritsumeikan University and has written many articles on safe and economic energy supplies. Takashi calls for a comprehensive strategy for the revitalization of Japan's low-carbon society and future industry centering on thorium. His appointment as Japanese representative is an important step towards developing Thorium Energy as a future energy source in Japan and in the world.
