A special “xie xie” goes to Xu Hongjie (TMSR Program Leader, see image below), Zhao Zhentang (Director SINAP) and Jiang Mianheng (President CAS Shanghai, see image right) and all at SINAP and CAS for an excellent conference; we have had a wonderful time at ThEC12 in Shanghai. The journey started on the 1st of February 2011. News came early in the morning about a newly announced Thorium Energy program in China. |
| A news story was put together to introduce the program and expressed our excitement in one sentence saying: “One can only applaud this far sighted decision by CAS”. And a little less than two years later, IThEO has been warmly welcomed to set up the Thorium Energy Conference with the Chinese Thorium Energy Program leaders. Our four conference days were filled with great presentations, many new faces, superb food, a wonderful banquette, a SINAP and Shanghai tour and much more. All Thorium Energy efforts look different and we believe this is good, at ThEC12 we have learned much about the Chinese program. Though there are differences we focus on our similarities and work together to expand our knowledge and capabilities.  The Thorium Energy Conference has now been held in London, New York and Shanghai. Next year we complete our circumnavigation of the globe by going back to Europe.
